Paddy whack
Give a dog a bone
Dog wags his tail
Or his tail wags him
In a decades old game
Of whose hands are bigger
People were killed
Not all missiles ballistic
Some scud or dud
One very accurate drone
Brought the point home
And near opened arteries
No surgeon could close
I don’t hate the Iranian people
But I fear their leaders
And I fear ours
The big dog is distant
And the near dog’s determined
Where it’s all rolling
Nobody knows
No winners in this game
But everyone can lose
War is usually insane
Short sighted, stupid
That’s why we do it
